Bankruptcy is a business decision

You would prefer to pay all your bills, but sometimes that is not possible. Civilized societies provide a way to help people who cannot pay their debts. In biblical times, Mosaic Law required creditors to grant remission of debt every seven years. Deuteronomy 15:1. In 1838, when many states still had debtors’ prisons, the Republic of Texas enacted the very first homestead protection law in history, and Texans should not be embarrassed to use such laws designed to protect families and provide a fresh start.

I am Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. I have been a member O’Donnell, Ferebee & Frazer P.C. since 1989.
